Though many of us love being a journalist, one thing we do not love is the unstable nature of the industry. In fact, top journalism honchos met last week in Chicago to discuss saving it. But can it be saved? It’s not looking good.

My friend Rich had a good point:

“I know you love newspapers, because I do too, but I think the sooner you/I/we get out, the better. No matter how much we love it, it’s not going to love us back. It’s just going to keep coming home late from work, getting drunk and pushing us around. And it doesn’t even take us anywhere nice anymore.”
